Retired IAS and IFS officers have come out in support of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. To this end, 124 retired IAS and IFS officers have written an open letter. In the letter, they demanded that evidence-based allegations be made about election irregularities. They questioned the use of the word 'rigging' in elections without any evidence. They said that the repeated use of that word is eroding faith in democracy, which is why they have written the letter. They said that they are not affiliated with any political party.
