An inhuman incident has come to light in the Bhadohi district hospital in UP. A 20-year-old pregnant woman, Rani Vanavasi, suffering from severe anemia, was refused admission and gave birth on the road outside the hospital. The investigation revealed that the authorities did not make any arrangements even though the victim's brother was ready to donate blood. The committee that investigated the incident found negligence on the part of four doctors and a nurse. Contract doctor Pankaj Kumar was dismissed from duty and the salary of another doctor was stopped. Action was recommended against the rest.
