A key agreement has been signed between the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj and Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) with the aim of increasing the use of electric vehicles in rural areas. In this meeting held in New Delhi, it was decided to set up EV charging and battery swapping centers on panchayat lands. The central government hopes that this will generate additional income for panchayats, provide new employment opportunities in rural areas and contribute to environmental protection.
