AP: On the occasion of Vijayadashami, the royal family's weapon worship was traditionally held at Bobbili Fort in Vizianagaram. The ceremony was led by former minister Rao Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao Bahadur and MLA Baby Nayana. In memory of the historic Bobbili Battle of 1757, the weapons of that time are preserved and worshipped every year. The royal family said that they are continuing the customs of their ancestors in a democratic system and organizing this program for the happiness of the people.
