An innovative protest was held at the Niphad Nagar Panchayat office in Maharashtra over the issue of stray dogs. Under the leadership of Yuva Sena district president Vikram Randhave, activists took some stray dogs into the office and left them on the table of Chief Officer Dheeraj Bhamre. They also protested by garlanding them with currency notes. They alleged that the increase in the number of dogs in Niphad was causing problems to children, the elderly and women, and many were bitten by dogs. They demanded that steps be taken to control the dogs along with sterilization.
