Canara Bank has implemented new rules by increasing its ATM charges. Now, instead of 6 free transactions per month, only 5 will be available. The charge on cash withdrawal if the limit is exceeded has increased from Rs.20 to Rs.23 + GST. The penalty for insufficient balance in the account or failed transaction has been increased from Rs.17 to Rs.23 + GST. However, the bank has clarified that the facility of 8 free transactions per month for senior citizens will continue as usual.
