Patanjali Foods has been dealt a blow by the Madhya Pradesh Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the batch of cow ghee from the market after a sample of the company's cow ghee collected in Burhanpur was found to be non-compliant with food safety standards. The company has said that it will appeal against the order. It said that the impact of the recall will be limited. Patanjali Foods' shares have fallen by about 41% in the past year.
