A rare case of a tooth growing in the eye that surprised doctors
A strange incident has come to light in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Doctors who examined a 16-year-old boy with a swelling on his eye discovered that two teeth were growing in his eye socket. In medical terms, this is called an 'ectopic tooth'. While it is common for teeth to grow in the nasal cavity or mouth, doctors have described this growth in the eye as a very rare and unique case in medical science. It has become a mystery that this could happen even though there is no injury. Doctors removed the teeth through surgery.
