AP: There is a clear change in the color of the Godavari river near Polavaram. From July to the first week of October, the river water was copper in color due to the mixing of mud and sand particles with the flood water from the upper reaches. By the second week of October, the flood flow had decreased and the mud stopped entering the river. Due to this, the Godavari water has now turned blue. Currently, the water coming from Shileru is also blue in color, so the river looks clean and calm at the Polavaram spillway.
