In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a court has sentenced Ravita to death for killing her husband and making him believe that he died of a snakebite. Ravita strangled Amit Kashyap (25) while he was sleeping. Later, with the help of her boyfriend, she brought a snake and left it in the blanket, making him believe that his husband had died of a snakebite. However, the postmortem revealed that he had died of suffocation. The police, who found that the snake was not poisonous, investigated and came to know about the truth.
