Court stays US student visa rules
Indian students studying in the US have received relief. A federal court has temporarily blocked the implementation of the new rule brought by the Trump administration, reducing the visa period for international students to four years. The court opined that if this rule is implemented, it will have a serious impact on American universities as well as the economy. The students got temporary relief as the court issued an interim order across the country on this rule, which was to come into effect from Tuesday. The next hearing will be held on October 2.
