Rs. 10 lakh travel insurance for 45 paise
The Railway Board has made a key announcement. From October 27, it will also apply travel insurance of Rs. 10 lakh to those who buy tickets offline. The Railway Board has taken this decision as per the orders of the Supreme Court. Passengers who wanted insurance paid an additional Rs. 45 paise on the ticket. However, it is not possible to take that amount in cash. Therefore, the Railway Board has issued orders to accept cash in digital mode at ticket counters.
