Now you can log in to WhatsApp on the phone where the SIM is located.
The Department of Telecom has issued new strict guidelines to curb scam calls and messaging fraud. The main purpose of these measures is to prevent misuse of messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram. Apps like WhatsApp and Telegram related to a number will run only on the phone on which the SIM card is working. As soon as the SIM card is removed, the app will also automatically stop working.
