
India grew by 7.8% in October-December
The central government on Friday announced that the Indian economy grew by 7.8% in the October-December (Q3) quarter of the current financial year. The growth rate in the same quarter of the previous financial year was recorded at 7.4%. The figures were released by changing 2022-23 as the new base year. The country's GDP is expected to grow by 7.6% this financial year. The growth rate for the July-September quarter has been revised to 8.4% from 8.2%. The growth in the first quarter has come down to 6.7% from 7.8%.
