AP: CM Chandrababu Naidu held a high-level review on the development of agriculture and allied sectors at his camp office on Tuesday. On this occasion, key decisions were taken to benefit the aqua sector, targeting the growth of the 'blue economy'. He ordered that an electricity subsidy of Rs. 1.50 per unit be applied to the newly registered 12,680 aqua farmers. With this decision, the government will incur an additional burden of Rs. 188 crore. The CM has set a target of bringing 4 lakh acres of aqua lands across the state under the 'aqua zone'.
