The central government has taken action against two Chinese apps that are using smartphones to stop e-rickshaws midway. According to the details given by IT Secretary Krishnan, security flaws have been found in the apps BAT-BMS and Epoch Li-ion, which control the battery management systems of e-rickshaws. It has been learnt that through these apps, anyone within the Bluetooth range can remotely stop the vehicles, causing problems for drivers. In this context, the center has removed these two apps from the app stores.
