An earthquake struck West Bengal's capital Kolkata between 1:22-1:30 pm on Friday. Its intensity was recorded as 5.0 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 26 km southwest of Khulna in Bangladesh. The tremors also shook Kolkata, surrounding areas and other districts of West Bengal. People ran out of their homes in fear. There were no reports of any injuries or property damage so far.
