A serious accident took place in Surat district of Gujarat. Two buses collided head-on on the Gujarat-Maharashtra highway in Bardoli tehsil. Seven people were reported to have died in the accident. Several passengers were seriously injured. Immediately after receiving the information, police and rescue workers reached the spot and took up rescue operations. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
