
Ebola outbreak: WHO declares emergency
The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been declared a public health emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO). The outbreak has killed 80 people and infected 246 in the eastern province of Ituri. The disease is caused by the Bundibugyo strain of the virus. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes on the skin, and bleeding. There is currently no cure.
