Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Umashankar Singh of Uttar Pradesh died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment for a brain tumor at a private hospital in Delhi. A three-time MLA from Rasda constituency, he was the sole representative of the BSP in the UP Assembly. CM Yogi Adityanath and BSP president Mayawati expressed deep grief over his death. Umashankar Singh started his political career as a student leader.
