
A failure as a husband and father! Civil engineer commits suicide on railway tracks
Challagundla Harshavardhan, the chief engineer of a shipping company in Visakhapatnam, committed suicide due to stock market losses and a debt of Rs 36 lakh. He sent a message to his wife that he had failed as a son, father and husband and then jumped off the Janmabhoomi train at Duvvada railway station to take his life. When his wife informed the police, an investigation revealed that financial difficulties were the reason. The incident has caused great grief locally. He hails from Bommasamudram near Kanipakam in Chittoor district.
