A serious road accident took place in Chitradurga district of Karnataka. Five people died on the spot after a car and a lorry collided at Tumakurlahalli in Molakalmuru taluka on the Bellary-Bengaluru highway. The deceased have been identified as Pramod, Raghavendra, Rudresh, Somu and Mallikarjuna from Chellakere. Police reached the spot and took up rescue operations. Full details are awaited.
