Seven people were seriously injured after a giant Ferris wheel collapsed at the Happyland Water Theme and Amusement Park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Thursday afternoon. The Ferris wheel broke and fell while they were riding at around 2 pm. The injured were rushed to Gokulam Medical College Hospital, where some of them are reported to have broken bones. The police have registered a case against the park management and preliminary investigation has revealed that the cause of the accident was the breakage of the giant wheel's support stand.
