Former cricketer Tamim Iqbal appointed as BCB president
Bangladesh's National Sports Council (NSC) on Tuesday dissolved the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) led by Aminul Islam Bulbul. The decision was taken after a government inquiry committee found irregularities and abuse of power in the board elections held in October last year. The government has announced an 11-member ad hoc committee to hold fresh elections within the next 90 days. Veteran opener Tamim Iqbal has been appointed as the chairman of the committee. With this, Tamim, 37, has created a record as the youngest president in the history of the board.
