The Union Transport Ministry has issued strict warnings on car modifications. It has made it clear that it is illegal under Section 52 to install steel bumpers, change the shape of the number plate, put large stickers on car windows (Section 177), use of black films, sunshades or magnetic curtains. It has been said that if vehicles are modified against the rules, along with fines, insurance will not be applicable. It has been said that these changes can cause accidents such as airbags not working properly.
