Russian, Israeli forces on UN blacklist
The United Nations has recently added Russia and Israel to its blacklist. It said the decision was taken over allegations of inappropriate treatment of women and sexual assault in countries such as Sudan, Haiti, Congo and Myanmar. In August last year, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned the two countries and said they could be added to the blacklist. This is the first time Israel has been added to the list in the 15 years since it was created.
