AP: On Gandhi Jayanti, liquor sales were rampant in the state. In Chennekothapalli of Sri Sathya Sai district, traders were illegally selling liquor. They were hiding liquor bottles in tree trunks and selling them on the road at double the price. The fact that liquor was being sold despite the dry day rules being in force is a reflection of the lack of supervision by the authorities.
