Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha has strongly criticized food adulteration in the Rajya Sabha. He criticized the presence of harmful chemicals, high levels of saturated fats, sugar or salt in milk, spices, cooking oils, packaged foods and beverages, which are unhealthy factors and are misleading people. He expressed concern that poison is being sold in the market. According to research, 71% of milk samples contained neutralizers like urea and 64% sodium bicarbonate, and one in every four food samples tested was found to be adulterated, he said.
