The US has warned that the quota in the EB-1 category for Indians waiting for a US green card is at risk of ending by September 30. It said that the main reason for this is the huge demand. While 'EB-2' visas have already been stopped, 'EB-3' applicants have to wait for more than 12 years. The reason for this delay seems to be the huge number of applications from Indians and the 7% quota limit per country as per US laws.
