If the vote is lost, welfare schemes will be at risk: CM DK Shivakumar
Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar made key comments on the Special Amendment (SIR) process of the Voter List. The process, which began on Tuesday, will continue till July 29. He urged the people to make sure that everyone's name is in the voter list. He warned that if they lose their right to vote, they may lose the benefits of government welfare schemes in the future. He said that 'SIR' was used to remove ineligible ration card holders in West Bengal and other states are also taking steps in the same direction, so he advised that the right to vote should not be neglected.
